I agree with most of the reviews here. I have very sensitive skin and a lot of allergies--my skin easily gets red and itchy. This product didn't bother me at all! My skin has been relatively trouble free since I began using it about 7 and half months ago--my skin looks and feels very nice. I rarely got any blemishes previously, but now I get even fewer!

Customer Review: Good Base for Mineral Makeup for Dry Skin
Bare Escentuals Prime Time is where you start when preparing your skin to receive Bare Escentuals mineral make-up. BE claims that it's good for all skin types, but I beg to differ. Dry skin...yes! Women with combination or oily skin wouldn't benefit from using this product all over their faces as it is greasy. Designed to fight dry, flaky skin, fine lines and enlarged pores, it basically evens out your skins texture, leaving a slick, slightly tacky surface for the minerals to adhere to when you apply the makeup. Free of preservatives, you'll not be hurting your skin by using it, but the 'satin-finish' that we dry-skinned girls love may be an oil slick finish for others. Admittedly it's good stuff and even with dry skin, you use it sparingly for the best results. It's said to be 'oil-free', but the antioxidant rich, anti-aging properties from plant extracts does make it quite slippery and for me, oily. The reason I give it 4-stars versus 5: Great for around your eyes and mouth, Prime Time is certainly something to have on hand, but perhaps not perfect for all over coverage prior to putting on your Bare Escentuals mineral makeup.

Customer Review: Adore the colors, can't get the brush to work
I absolutely love the colors in this set. I can't say enough how nice they look. However, the brush, which is half the point of buying these kits, just does not work for me. The 'v' side, at least, always manages to go completely off-track and does not look anything like what I imagined I was doing when I started applying the powder. I'm sure it's just me being incompetent, but still. These sets are supposed to be "tutorials"- meaning they are made for the non-expert. I do like the other side of the brush and use it often. Short story- Love the colors, hate the brush. Do with this advice what you will.

Bare Escentuals Full Coverage Kabuki Brush

Customer Review: Great brush, but wears out very fast.
First of all, this brush is amazing for coverage. There is really no replacement. Mine broke while I was overseas and I bought another company's kabuki brush, it did not work for BE at all! HOWEVER, I have gone through two brushes in just over a year of use - and not even daily use! The first brush's bristles came right out of the metal band and left me stranded for 3 weeks without a good brush. It was awful! When I got another one, the lady at the BE store said that they shouldn't do that, but they couldn't replace it or anything. I take good care of my brushes. I wash them with the BE wash and I always dry them flat. My second brush is now wearing out too. The bristles have become hard and very wide. I detest having to pay this much for a brush every 9 months!

I love this brush! It is definitly in the top 5 brushes I use. I got mine in a kit, so I did not buy it by itself but it is amazing. I have used it for months, have even washed it a couple times and it has held up great. It has lost a few bristles while washing (5+) but I did not lose as many as that one reviewer said. I would definitly recommend this brush to a friend!

The brushes from Bare Escentuals are definitely good quality. I use this brush with the Bare Escentuals eye shadows and it works well. My regular eyeshadow brush didn't work as well with this brand. The brush is a little stiffer than my other eyeshadow brushes which is why I think it works well with the Bare Escentuals. I just wish the eyeliner end of this brush was a little stiffer than it is. Overall though a good quality brush.

Customer Review: The best out there
I have these eyeshadows in 4 colors. I love them. They blend easily together and have a subtle sparkle. I'd recommend getting the bare minerals eyeshadow brush, because the full end and more precise end work well with the product. If you're bad at applying loose eyeshadow with a brush, you can use your finger. These are great because you can choose the degree of drama. Brush on a little for a day look, or use a wet brush for bold color. Also very good for sensitive eyes and contact lense wearers like me.

I began my experimentation with other Bare Escentuals product with a jar of True Gold Glimmer. This stuff is fantastic! It's subtle enough for me to be able to wear it for a casual daytime look, and it's dressy and sophisticated to glam up a night out. I also believe that this little jar will last for quite a while. I take it out of my makeup bag, and I use a dab of the thin film that has formed on the inside of the lid. I have used this eyeshadow for nearly every day since I bought it in the beginning of the summer, and it doesn't look as if I've put a dent in it at all. In this manner, the Glimmer is similar to MAC Pigments (I have several jars of those - still going strong after 5 years!).

This product burns. Not something you want from an eye makeup remover. It not only burns my eyes but also burns the skin around my eyes. It says it is safe for contact lense wearers but I would be afraid to use it if I wore contacts. I will not be purchasing this product again. I will go back to the Bliss lid & lash wash. My sister also used this product and had the same complaints I did.

Whenever I think of eye makeup remover, my first thought is "ewww, oily". This is no exception; however, it's a tad less oily than most. It does a great job of removing stubborn water-proof mascara. It's really good for sensitive skin. My only complaint is that my bottle leaks.

I have had oily skin since I was a child and found that when you have oily skin, eye make-up doesn't stay on long or well at all. This product is absolutely amazing in that even in the hot summer days, there is NO creasing of my make-up on my eyelids. To me, it's a miracle. I have spent so many years trying to control the creasing and having to wash and reapply if I wanted to go out at night that this is amazing! I just wish it was a little cheaper.

I bought this product yesterday from the Bare Escentuals store and it worked so well I just had to write a review! This stuff worked much better than I anticipated! I am amazed at how my eyeshadow is still in place even after sleeping! I always had the problem of my makeup clumping with oil in my crease. Not only did this prevent a crease from forming, but it also preserved the "just applied" look. I will definitely be using this daily especially with this reasonable price.

Overall, I like the product. Bare Escentuals makeup is all natural which is a huge plus. The container it comes in makes it difficult to apply, though, and you need to have an eye shadow brush or applicator handy before you use it. The shade is lighter that I would have thought. It's sort of a light cream color which makes it better suited for application at the corners and creases of the lid instead of all over the lid. There is a subtle sparkle that shows through which makes the eyes look more open and awake.
